ABOUT THE ROLE:
Hybrid role - Based in Southern Gold Coast.
* Oversee and improve financial reporting systems (Xero, Procore, and project controls). Deliver monthly project and company cashflow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
* Prepare end-of-project profitability reports, contribute to financial lessons learned, and assist in the preparation of EOFY financial statements.
* Implement established procedures for end-of-project and end-of-financial-year bonuses.
* Collaborate with operations and project leads to ensure accurate cost allocation.
* Participate in senior management meetings, providing relevant financial insights.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings across the business.
* Lead cost management reporting to aid decision-making at project and company levels.
* Review budgets for bids prior to submission, highlighting risks or discrepancies.
* Input budgets into Procore software and communicate with the construction team.
* Support resource utilization strategies to maximize returns across teams and equipment.
* Assist the CFO in securing funding for capital acquisitions.
* Oversee progress claims, invoice schedules, and client retentions.
Commercial Oversight
* Assist operations in documenting and reviewing variations, and support commercial negotiations.
* Ensure compliance with project commercial deliverables.
* Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Develop and improve company commercial systems and processes.
