**Job Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team in the Port Macquarie Hastings region.
This role involves assessing and determining applications for building information certificates, undertaking inspections of caravan parks, camping grounds, manufactured home estates, and amusement devices to ensure compliance with legislation. The successful candidate will also assist the Building Regulation team with investigation of complaints, noncompliance, and fire safety matters, undertaking appropriate regulatory action in accordance with council's compliance and enforcement policy.
**Key Responsibilities Include:
* Assessing and determining applications for building information certificates
* Undertaking inspections of caravan parks, camping grounds, manufactured home estates, and amusement devices to ensure compliance with legislation
* Assisting the Building Regulation team with investigation of complaints, noncompliance, and fire safety matters
* Inspecting swimming pools and spas, and issuing certificates of compliance or non-compliance
* Inspecting, assessing, and determining applications for temporary structures at events
**Required Skills and Qualifications:*
* Experience as a Building Surveyor with a strong understanding of building regulations and legislation
* Critical thinking and assessment skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
