The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Commonwealth Government finance functions, alongside exceptional organisational and analytical skills. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is also crucial for success in this position. A CPA or CA membership is highly regarded.
A key aspect of this role involves crafting accounting position papers, overseeing activities, resources, and personnel to achieve outstanding outcomes in a hybrid working environment. You will also be responsible for maintaining internal financial and fraud controls, governance, and resource management within budget parameters.
Responsibilities include accounts receivable and payable functions, cash management, fixed asset management, Comcover insurance reporting, claims processing, procurement support, official travel contract administration, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month-end processes, and statutory reporting requirements.
