About the role
My client is a reputable Australian organisation, who are looking to hire a strong Accounts Payable Manager/lead who is skilled in projects and transitionary environments. This is a hands on role and task oriented, but offers the successful candidate opportunity to guide their P2P function through a transformation period. They are looking for someone with strong project skills and ability to work with a number of different stakeholders.
The Responsibilities:
* Root cause analysis of issues in the P2P function; design workflow to correct this and think beyond initial task at hand
* Stakeholder management - understand pain points in business
* Work with offshore team and managed service provider daily to identify areas of improvement in process analysis
* Analyse and implement opportunities for automation across wider business process
* Ensure smooth day to day running of the AP function
* Process improvement; review of all SOP and re-write processes to ensure smoothest possible action
* System integration skills
The successful applicant will have:
* Strong background across Shared Service/P2P environment in leadership/project based roles.
* Demonstrated experience working with offshore teams/managed service providers
* Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, controls, and operating models.
* Experience delivering process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement measures
* Exceptional communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
* An eye for problem solving; can drive long term solutions.
* Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Nice to have)
