Short term 2 month initial Marketing Officer contract based in Ipswich West

Hays recruitment is currently working with a Secondary Education Organisation located in Ipswich West to appoint a temporary Marketing Officer
**Your new role**
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver internal and external marketing to all stakeholders including, but not limited to, social media, publications, advertisements, and website marketing.
- Monitor the continued implementation and management of the public relational and corporate image and identity, including adherence to the corporate branding, the style guide and communication plan.
- Research, write and publish regular news items on the website and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a valuable working relationship with the local media outlets and other relevant community stakeholders.
- Ensure all internal and external communication complies with organisational standards in style, format, and professional editing.
- Marketing Plan in all relevant marketing and communications collateral.
- Provide support to events and functions
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to communications, marketing, business development and/or public relations. A background in schools would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and exceptional interpersonal communication skills. An ability to communicate with and relate to a wide range of people including teachers, administrative staff, parents, students, business leaders and the wider community.
- Experience in researching, writing, and producing a wide range of different types of publications including external print and digital consumption, as well as internal staff communications.
- Demonstrated ability to create content that aligns with current social media platforms.
- Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Established organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, to establish priorities, and to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Confident, affable, and diplomatic manner.
- Strong event management skills and experience.
- Experience in digital media platforms (eg. eDM, Facebook Business Manager & Google Ads).
- Well-developed computer literacy of the Microsoft Office suite - Word. PowerPoint & Excel.
- A degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications or similar from a recognised tertiary institution. A Blue Card
