About The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team on a part-time basis, working 32 hours per week from the comfort of your own home. In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
* Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
* Reconciling bank statements and corporate credit card transactions
* Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS statements accurately
* Processing payroll and maintaining up-to-date employee records
* Monitoring cash flow and preparing regular financial reports
* Assisting with month-end and year-end financial procedures
* Liaising with external accountants and auditors when required
* Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting and taxation requirements
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* 3–5 years' bookkeeping experience using MYOB and Xero software
* Strong knowledge of Australian GST, PAYG, superannuation, and STP
* Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification
* Payroll processing experience with BAS Agent registration desirable
* Previous experience working within a professional bookkeeping practice
* High accuracy with strong organisational and time management skills
* Clear written and verbal communication with teamwork and autonomy
