Job Opportunity: Data-Driven Design Specialist
A renowned national data initiative is seeking an experienced Data-Driven Design Specialist to contribute to a high-profile project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards that visualise workforce insights, drawing from ABS PLIDA and Student Outcomes Survey data.
This role involves shaping design concepts using Figma, maintaining a consistent UI Kit, developing dashboard prototypes, conducting user testing, and iterating based on feedback.
Strong capability in modern design tools, experience working within government or regulated environments, and demonstrated expertise in using data insights to guide design decisions are essential requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of the Australian VET sector and its data landscape, with a proven track record of delivering impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing and developing interactive dashboards that meet client requirements
* Maintaining a consistent UI Kit across all designs
* Developing dashboard prototypes and conducting user testing
* Iterating design concepts based on feedback from stakeholders
* Preparing technical documentation and supporting handover activities
* Ensuring alignment with government accessibility and design standards
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in data-driven design
* Proven expertise in using modern design tools (Figma)
* Experience working within government or regulated environments
* Demonstrated ability to use data insights to guide design decisions
* Strong knowledge of the Australian VET sector and its data landscape
