We are seeking experienced, dealer trained Motor Mechanics and Auto Electricians with proven expertise in Japanese and European light vehicles, as well as 4WDs. Opportunities are available with our clients across Townsville, Ingham and Charters Towers in North Queensland. Candidates with strong diagnostic skills, advanced mechanical experience and a commitment to quality vehicle servicing are highly encouraged to apply.
In this Role you will be:
* Servicing and maintenance of vehicles in accordance with factory-required standards.
* Performing advanced diagnostics, including interpreting complex fault codes, analyzing intermittent or multi-system faults and implementing corrective measures using OEM-approved diagnostic tools.
* Repairing and replacing faulty wiring, electrical systems and advanced electronic modules (ECUs, sensors, actuators).
* Servicing, testing and calibrating electrical and hybrid vehicle components, including batteries, regenerative braking systems and powertrain electronics.
* Dismantling and rebuilding complex engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, suspension systems and other major components to manufacturer specifications.
* Performing realignment and adjustment of braking systems, suspension geometry and precision wheel laser alignment.
* Conducting comprehensive inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems to detect early signs of wear or failure.
* Troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical issues, including engine misfires, transmission faults, turbochargers, timing systems, and advanced driveline systems.
* Testing vehicles under real-world driving conditions to validate repair quality, system integration, and overall safety.
* Maintaining detailed service records and providing technical guidance to junior technicians as needed.
The successful applicants must have:
* A current Motor Mechanic/Auto Electrician Trade Certificate or equivalent
* At least 1-Year of relevant employment experience is required
* Knowledge and experience in servicing and maintenance of Japanese/European made vehicles as well as other vehicles (Including 4WDs)
* Good diagnostic skills on specific brands
* Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Manufacturer training and experience is essential
