Job Overview
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical components and systems for complex electronics and defense-related applications. This role supports engineering initiatives, customer-facing projects, and internal training programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design & Engineering: Design and develop mechanical components and systems for complex electronics and defense-related applications.
* Documentation & Testing: Develop and manage detailed BOMs, drawing packages, and configuration-controlled documentation. Perform testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components.
* Project Execution: Lead cross-functional project teams and manage engineering tasks independently.
* Customer & Team Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure successful project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
* Experience: 5-7 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in electronics packaging, aerospace, or defense applications.
* Skills: Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Familiarity with PCB layout, electronics housing design, and digital/RF packaging standards. Working knowledge of Air Force TOs, metrology tools, and mechanical inspection processes.
