Base salary $149,059.00 per annum plus leave loading, employer contribution to superannuation. Total remuneration package valued at $168,946.00.
School Overview
East Hills Girls' Technology High School is a comprehensive secondary school enrolling students from Years 7 to 12, with a current enrolment of 790. The school is the only specialist technology high school for girls in NSW and is also an Apple Distinguished High School, with students using iPads in class.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Creative & Performing Arts faculty as a member of the Executive Team.
* Provide excellence in all curricular and extra‐curricular activities for students, staff, parents and the community.
* Build and lead productive school and faculty teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Specific Selection Criteria
* Must be NESA accredited and have demonstrated success in teaching and leading in at least one learning area: Visual Arts, Music, Drama, or Dance.
* Highly developed leadership skills to build and lead productive teams.
* Demonstrated expertise in engaging and promoting Creative Arts to students, staff, parents and the community.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programmes.
* Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
