About the role

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Advisor to join the Elders team on a full-time permanent basis.

The Sustainability Advisor is responsible for supporting the Sustainability Team and broader business in driving Elders' commitment to delivering an authentic sustainability program. Location is negotiable, with some interstate travel required

This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career and help shape the sustainability practices and outcomes of Australia's most trusted agribusiness and effect real change to Elders and the agribusiness industry in Australia.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Sustainability Advisor you will:

- Prepare reporting, presentations and other materials and correspondence relating to Elders' sustainability initiatives, including the annual Sustainability Report
- Monitor stakeholder needs and emerging trends to ensure that Elders is meeting stakeholder expectations and supplying relevant and decision-useful information
- Liaise with the business to drive authentic sustainability-related business improvement
- Research and monitor emerging trends in sustainability that are likely to benefit Elders' operating model
- Provide oversight for sustainability related elements of business initiatives
- Build networks across Elders to identify proactive opportunities in the sustainability space

About you:
To succeed at Elders as a Sustainability Advisor, you will:

- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey sustainability concepts and initiatives to diverse audiences
- Be a quick learner, with the ability to develop sound knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and technical expertise in areas like climate change and waste management
- Possess strong problem-solving skills
- Have meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. Skills and experience in data analytics are highly desirable.
- Have the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time
- Have a passion for sustainability and a genuine desire to make a positive impact
- Tertiary qualifications or course completion in a relevant field, including sustainability, environmental management, agronomic science, business or law are highly desirable
- Previous experience in sustainability-related roles, agribusiness or a large corporate environment is also highly desirable.
