About the role
As an Electrical Engineer at Northparkes, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and compliant performance of our electrical assets across both surface and underground operations. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical, operational and maintenance support across fixed plant, mobile equipment, control systems and instrumentation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands‐on site engagement, technical problem solving, and longer term engineering strategy work. You'll join a proactive, highly collaborative team that values autonomy, continuous improvement and strong stakeholder relationships.
In this role you will:
* Provide technical leadership in electrical systems, troubleshooting and condition monitoring across site.
* Support the development and execution of electrical and instrumentation maintenance strategies and standards.
* Lead and deliver reliability and improvement projects, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
* Ensure compliance with engineering and mining electrical standards, including oversight of new electrical infrastructure installations.
About you
You are an experienced Electrical Engineer who thrives in a dynamic operational environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You build strong working relationships, communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain a high standard of safety and compliance in everything you do.
You will bring:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering (essential) and a current driver's licence.
* Demonstrated postgraduate experience in electrical engineering within mining or a similar heavy‐industry environment.
* Strong capability in electrical project installation, maintenance engineering and reliability methodologies.
