Overview
Invermay Vet Clinic is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our small team. The role is full-time and hours are negotiable for the right candidate. This position is ideal for a nurse with a strong interest and proven experience in surgery, especially orthopaedic surgery, who enjoys providing high-quality patient care.
About the role
* Assisting with orthopaedic and general surgical procedures
* Preparing and monitoring patients before, during, and after anaesthesia
* Surgical nursing, instrument handling, and theatre support
* Inpatient care and recovery monitoring
* Client communication and discharge instructions
* Training other nurses
* General nursing duties and teamwork across the clinic
About you
* Qualified Veterinary Nurse with at least Cert IV in vet nursing and relevant clinical experience
* Confident assisting with orthopaedic surgeries
* Strong anaesthesia monitoring skills
* Calm, organised, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Passionate about patient care and continuous learning
