We are looking for an energetic and highly self‐motivated individual to take on this autonomous role. Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations and ensuring operational efficiency at the Pakenham site. Your role will be pivotal in delivering high‐quality, competitively priced products to our customers while maintaining safe and environmentally sustainable workplaces.
The Role
* Manage and control all site operations through ensuring a safe workplace where risks are identified, assessed and mitigated to ensure the health and safety of employees.
* Plan and deliver effective resources to achieve site goals including OHS&E compliance, production targets, quality assurance, budget control and labour resources.
* Responsibility for site production targets including efficient manufacturing of finished goods to specification, on time and in full.
* Manage all costs within the site budget.
* Proactive and efficient customer service activities. Cover all aspects of customer enquiry and complaint handling.
* Efficient and effective control of all inventory associated with the site.
* Ensuring all administration processes are completed at the site.
* Support, direct and develop site staff into an effective and reliable team.
* Develop, implement and achieve improvement goals across all site functions.
* Delivery of required financial outcomes.
* People focussed, leading with accountability and integrity, focused on developing the next gen and best in class team.
You will have
* Demonstrated experience in a food or stockfeed manufacturing industry with exposure to plant management and process automation.
* Demonstrated experience managing, leading and developing employees in a production environment.
* Demonstrated experience with production planning, control and measurement methodologies.
* Understanding of OHS&E, QA and other statutory management standards and requirements.
* Experience in safety & quality management systems.
* Understanding of HR and EEO requirements.
* Understanding of stock control issues and methodology.
* Must have current driver's license and flexibility to travel regionally as required.
* Ability to be hands on in both attitude and skills.
* Knowledge of Lean Principles and proven experience in planning and delivering a Continuous Improvement plan - desirable.
