Maintenance & Operations Support OfficerThe sweet things you'll be involved in:Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance & Operations Support Officer to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based at our Racecourse and Port sites in Mackay, QLD.You'll play a key role in the smooth running of our Maintenance and Operations teams. As a key support across our maintenance and logistics functions, you'll coordinate contractors, assist with day-to-day operations, and help keep systems and processes running seamlessly. With responsibilities ranging from inventory management to safety compliance, it's a dynamic, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys being central to site operations.Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Providing administrative support to the Mackay leadership teamCoordinating procurement and inventory of maintenance parts and PPESupporting maintenance scheduling and compliance in SAPManaging contractor onboarding, inductions, and timesheets using Rapid GlobalOverseeing logistics for incoming goods, hire equipment and shutdown preparationsMaintaining housekeeping and safety standards in engineering workshopsAssisting with company vehicle upkeep and basic maintenance tasksWhat we're wanting you to bring to the table:This role is ideally suited to someone who is organised, adaptable, proactive, and safety-focused, with experience in operational or maintenance environments. You'll also bring:Previous administration experience within maintenance, manufacturing, or engineeringStrong coordination and time management skillsProven experience in inventory control and procurement processesExposure to engineering materials and workshop environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is highly desirableA forklift licence is preferredHigh risk work licences (e.g., confined space, working at heights) are an advantageStrong attention to detail and a safety-first mindsetExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationshipsAbout Sugar Australia:Sugar Australia is the nation's trusted partner in sugar and ingredient solutions enabling our customers to make great products for every home.
