Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated professional with strong mechanical aptitude or proven experience as a First Class Machinist/Fitter. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience within the metal manufacturing industry, supported by well-developed technical machining skills.
To excel in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and confidently use precision measuring instruments, including internal and external micrometers. A high level of physical fitness, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential, along with a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality in an efficient and thorough manner.
Responsibilities
* Metal manufacturing with industry leading laser technology
* Laser cladding and thermal spraying with precise heavy machinery
* Measuring to ISO standards using micrometers
* Understanding of 2D and 3D drawing designs

Skills and Experience
* Experience with Technological Heavy Machinery
* Proven history of qualifications in Marine, Defence, Mining, Power Generation restoration
* Critical attention to detail and meticulous work habits
* Previous thermal spraying experience or 4 jaw chucks would be advantageous (not essential)
