About The Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking Senior Software Engineers (Developers). This is a long-term contract role 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options, located at our client's Canberra office with hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain critical systems for NSS and NCCC
* Deliver system enhancements, new features and technical upgrades
* Perform software design, coding, testing and code reviews
* Support integration with national systems including NCIS
* Work closely with project and business teams to meet requirements
* Contribute to system improvements, processes and service uplift
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
* Experience working in Agile or Waterfall ICT project environments
* Strong Microsoft Office skills for documentation and reporting
* Excellent organisation skills with ability to manage competing priorities
* Experience with Java, JEE, Kubernetes, Oracle, Unix/Windows
* Front‐end experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React
* Experience integrating or supporting third‐party/COTS systems
Desirable Skills
* Experience working with complex data and statistical analysis
* Experience in backend integrations and data ingestion pipelines
