Overview
Reporting to the Housing and Property Coordinator, this is a permanent full-time position working a 40-hour week, on a Monday to Friday roster.
Responsibilities
* ensuring gardens, designated walkways and infrastructure onsite, company housing and contractor village are maintained;
* daily, complete maintenance timesheet to record work time against work orders;
* scheduled maintenance activities as requested, complete check sheets and reports as required;
* operate gardening type equipment to maintain lawns, plants and walkways;
* participate in the development and review of work safe procedures;
* work within the community promoting Talison Values;
* audit Tool store stock and replenish;
* carry out repairs to buildings and site infrastructure; and
* cleaning of site building windows and flyscreens.
About the Candidate
* Certificate III Horticulture is desirable;
* current 'MR' truck licence is desirable;
* current 'C' class Drivers Licence;
* HLTAID011 - Apply First Aid;
* experience and understanding of gardening maintenance activities;
* understanding the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems;
* ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work unsupervised;
* excellent communication skills and ability to interact with tenants;
* basic understanding of pumping systems; and
* understanding of safe work practices for using hand tools, machinery, fertiliser, and other chemicals.
