About the Role
We are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to support the delivery of Environment, Health, Safety and Rail Safety outcomes across major transport projects in South East Melbourne.
This role plays a key part in maintaining strong safety governance, supporting project teams and ensuring compliance with rail safety and EHS management systems.
Working closely with operational leaders, project teams and regulators to drive continuous improvement and promote a proactive safety culture across the business.
You will
* Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS & Rail Safety management systems, plans and procedures
* Assist with technical writing of safety procedures, policies and documentation
* Conduct internal safety audits, track actions and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Monitor safety performance indicators and reporting to track project safety outcomes
* Maintain safety records and governance processes, including document management systems
* Support incident reporting, investigation and corrective actions
* Assist with EHS risk management, including project risk registers and safety inspections
* Coordinate safety campaigns, training programs and inductions for project teams
* Engage with project stakeholders, subcontractors and regulators to ensure strong safety performance
* Assist with workers compensation and return-to-work processes
* Conduct emergency drills, safety evaluations and compliance inspections
About you
* Experience in EHS, WHS or Rail Safety within infrastructure, transport, construction or engineering environments
* Strong understanding of safety management systems and regulatory requirements
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation, reporting and compliance processes
* Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, leaders and safety professionals
