Work Health and Safety Specialist
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers a variable day off every 19 days. The role involves flexible working arrangements with the possibility of working from home.
The Role:
We are seeking a Work Health and Safety Specialist to assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing WHS-related systems and processes used within our organisation. This individual will be responsible for championing safety across the organisation, focusing on reducing risks and injuries while increasing awareness and importance of WHS throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing WHS-related systems and processes
* Champion safety across the organisation, focusing on reducing risks and injuries
* Increase awareness and importance of WHS throughout the organisation
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in WHS or relevant experience in a WHS field
* Demonstrated experience in WHS monitoring in an outdoor and/or mechanical trade environment
* Able to write quality reports, perform data analysis, develop/review policies and procedures, train staff on WHS processes
* Experienced in conducting workplace inspections, leading incident investigations, writing reports, and presenting findings to Executive level management and/or Health and Safety Committee
* Demonstrated knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and Codes of Practice
* Demonstrated high attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently and to deadlines
* Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment
* Intermediate level of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and in-house databases
* Current Driver's Licence (Class C)
* Will to undertake a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
