Job Description:

The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join their Regulatory Division team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating commercial and residential projects, reviewing plans and documentation, and interacting with various stakeholders.

This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of municipal and civil engineering principles, as well as experience working with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Reviewing and evaluating plans, permits, and other documentation related to commercial and residential construction
* Coordinating with applicants, departments, and agencies to ensure project completion
* Providing technical support and guidance to staff and external partners
* Participating in meetings and site plan review committee proceedings

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

* Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent
* Minimum three years' experience in responsible office work and two years' experience working with residential and commercial applications
* Knowledge of municipal and civil engineering objectives, purposes, methods, and practices
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, consultants, employees, and the public

The City of Port St. Lucie offers a competitive salary range of $26.58 - $30.57, depending on qualifications. This position also includes access to training and development opportunities, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.


Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this role require regular sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.


Engineering Requirements:

Must have advanced knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and orally. Ability to interpret plans and specifications, prepare and understand budget, cost estimates, and accounting documentation for engineering-related projects and work. Ability to learn to plan, schedule, and supervise work activities related to the design of civil engineering projects; survey stakeouts and inspections for residential and commercial construction; CIP roadway and drainage projects.
