Job Description:
An Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with clients through regular contact to discuss areas of concern, report on deficiencies and obtain new assignments.
This role involves organizing and attending regular meetings with clients, General Managers and Regional Managers.
The Assistant Manager will directly control budgeted hours and expenses for assigned locations.
Accurate monthly billing and timely completion of tasks are also key responsibilities.
Daily site inspections ensure delivery of services meets quality standards.
Reviewing assignments with staff maintains the quality of work and ensures tasks are performed properly.
Safety of all personnel and equipment is ensured at all times.
Accidents and property damage must be reported within deadlines.
The Assistant Manager is accountable for equipment and communications devices, including inventory and maintenance.
Preventative maintenance programs are developed and managed.
Orders are processed and inventories of equipment and supplies maintained.
Operational efficiencies are reviewed to improve standards and work schedules.
Prior experience in Hospitality is an asset.
Candidates must be able to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
Experience working in a unionized environment and ability to work with Collective Agreements is required.
A valid driver's license and driving record in good standing is necessary.
