We are seeking a School Psychologist based in Darwin for a fixed 1-year, full-time contract.
In this role, you will travel to urban and remote schools across the NT, supporting school principals, teachers, and support staff to design and implement Educational Adjustment Plans and targeted interventions that meet the behavioural, social-emotional, and learning needs of students requiring individualised programs.
Your key responsibilities as a School Psychologist include:
* Conducting psychometric assessments and preparing clinical reports to guide tailored support for students and schools.
* Championing inclusive and equitable practices in line with educational legislation.
* Leading professional learning initiatives, empowering school staff to differentiate teaching and learning to meet every student's unique needs.
* Providing psycho-educational guidance and support to families and school communities, addressing behavioural, social, and emotional learning needs.
* Collaborating with school staff, parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to apply psychological knowledge and improve student wellbeing, learning, and behaviour outcomes.
* Advising schools on recommendations for Educational Adjustment Plans to maximise student success.
About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced psychologist who has a strong understanding of current Australian Government policies and procedures, including the Disability Discrimination Act.
You should have experience administering, scoring, and interpreting appropriate screeners and diagnostic assessments to guide student support. Additionally, you should hold a valid Northern Territory Driver's Licence and a current Ochre Card.
