As our organisation continues to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-focused Senior Payroll Officer to manage payroll operations across the group and support our Head Office team.
The Role
Based at our Head Office in Wamberal, this position is available as either:
* Permanent part‑time (2 days per week)
* Contract engagement
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll across multiple practices. This role suits someone who is hands‑on, organised, and confident in delivering payroll in a fast‑paced and highly compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to‑end payroll across multiple Smile On Clinics locations.
* Maintain and update payroll records, classifications, and employee data.
* Process and reconcile rosters and timesheets via Deputy.
* Interpret relevant Modern Awards, NES provisions, and the Fair Work Act.
* Prepare and lodge superannuation, PAYG and other payroll‑related obligations.
* Provide payroll reporting and insights to management.
* Investigate and resolve payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
About You
* Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll Administrator.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance.
* Experience with Xero (highly regarded).
* Competence using Deputy or similar time & attendance systems.
* High level of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
