House of Speech is looking for a dedicated Therapy Assistant to work alongside our speech pathologists, supporting paediatric clients in both individual and group settings in our beautiful Kingaroy office, with occasional travel to surrounding areas (fully reimbursed).
About the Role: This varied and adaptable role allows you to make a meaningful impact on children's language and communication development. You'll work directly with clients one-on-one and in group settings, utilising your early childhood expertise to support tailored intervention programs and play-based learning activities. We're looking for someone who's excited about career growth, with the opportunity to take a lead role in developing new programs to support young people in our community.
Within this Therapy Assistant role, you are provided with weekly supervision and mentoring from an experienced speech pathologist. You will conduct intervention sessions by yourself following plans provided. Often the speech pathologist will join your sessions on telehealth to support implementation.
House of Speech provides you with speech pathology specific training and support to develop your skills. You will have the opportunity to attend in house professional development, as well as attend other professional development sessions we conduct. For example, joining in Key Word Sign Training.
You will receive a $1500 professional development allowance to expand your skills in areas related to your role.
This role requires you to have a full license and car available for travel. Your travel is reimbursed per km.
