Overview

This is a permanent full-time position commencing March 2026. Albany Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a highly motivated Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school's financial, human, and physical resources. This is a full-time, Level 5 Public Service position commencing early March 2026.

Albany SHS is an Independent Public School with a history of academic achievement, sporting excellence, and leadership development. The Role

As our Manager Corporate Services (MCS), you'll work closely with the Principal and the Executive Leadership Team to support the strategic direction of the school. You'll lead critical business functions and help ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on the school community. You will be an integral member of the school's leadership team, contributing to innovative planning, operational excellence, and positive change. We're looking for someone who is adept with systems and processes and who also builds strong, collaborative relationships with outstanding interpersonal skills.

Key Areas of Responsibility
* Human Resources: Lead and manage all school support staff, including recruitment, induction, performance development, and workforce planning. Align teams with the school's strategic goals.
* Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and reporting. Ensure financial operations are compliant, transparent, and strategically sound.
* Resource & Asset Management: Manage the school's physical resources, from facilities to ICT systems. Understand Work Health and Safety legislation and contribute to business and marketing plans with the leadership team.
* Operational Leadership: Help lead the school's operations and governance, focusing on compliance, office administration systems, facilities, and workforce development.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with staff, committees, and external partners to support strategic objectives. Represent the school on working groups and regional initiatives as needed.
About You

We're seeking someone who combines professional expertise with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. You should be confident leading teams, managing monetary and fiscal responsibilities, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.

* Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead human resources and financial functions within a school setting and to manage staff and operations effectively.
* Financial Skills: Experience with budgeting and financial planning; ability to monitor budgets and support high-level financial decisions.
* Strategic Thinking: Willingness to contribute to the school's long-term success through thoughtful planning and participation in key initiatives.
* Relationship Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff, students, parents, and the broader school community.
* Technical Know-How: Understanding of school networks and systems including Kaartdijin/Compass, SIS, RM Finance, HRMIS, IKON, and RAMS (favourable).
* Work, Health and Safety: Knowledge of WHS policies and practices is highly regarded.

* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
