Mathematics Teacher (Years 7 - VCE) Commencing 2026
This is a contract position but may be extended for the right candidate.
Role Description
The main responsibilities of the position include:
Providing opportunities for student engagement through a variety of learning experiences where they are encouraged and supported in achieving personal excellence;
Providing students with positive role modelling as a committed Catholic educator;
Supporting students with individual and group work in accordance with the work requirements outlined in the course of studies;
Assisting the Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing and developing curriculum;
Positively contributing to the St Bernard's College teaching team;
Participating in extra-curricular programs; and
Other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Area Leaders and Deputy Principal.
The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification with current VIT registration and demonstrate the following competencies:
Experience teaching Mathematics (Years 7 - VCE);
Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education;
Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school; and
Experience within a Catholic educational organisation is an advantage.
