Albury Wodonga Health's Cancer Service is expanding, and we are seeking dedicated and compassionate nurses to join our growing team. The role of the Cancer Services Clinical Nurse Educator is to provide professional practice and work-place clinical education to all nursing staff employed in our Cancer Services team, Major responsibilities include;
* Supporting the Operations Manager in the development and maintenance of care standards by providing strong leadership with an education focus
* Facilitating the transition of new graduates, undergraduate and other nursing staff to the clinical environment by supporting action learning in the clinical setting, including transition to specialty practice (TSP) staff
* Develop and facilitate education for staff participating in Graduate Certificate studies, including the liaison with external education providers
* Assisting staff to achieve mandatory training requirements and enhancing clinical skills
* Developing and accessing clinical nursing competencies for staff when required
* Assist in the development of policies, procedures and learning packages relating to nursing practice
* Work collaboratively to identify and complete educational gap analysis to inform education programs in our Cancer Services
* Any other educational requirements specific to Cancer Services in order to maintain a high quality of practice amongst staff
Candidates meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
* Postgraduate qualification in Nursing Education (or willingness to work towards)
* Vocational Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is highly desirable (or willingness to work towards)
* Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skill in Cancer Care.
* Demonstrated clinical education skills with strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of Quality improvement with the ability to develop and implement initiatives of continuous quality improvement; Staff development and Practice Development Principles; and Research to inform Best Practice
