Our Facilities Team are an important part of our College, so we are looking for a great person who takes pride in their work and is motivated to join a hands on property and maintenance team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to start or build upon your career in property maintenance and groundskeeping within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will help maintain the College buildings, facilities and outdoor spaces – ensuring the campus remains, safe, clean and welcoming for staff, students and visitors.
This is a full-time position, working 38 hours per week across Monday – Friday.
What You'll Do
* Maintain the condition and appearance of College buildings, grounds, gardens and sporting fields.
* Perform general maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, cleaning, painting and minor repairs.
* Operate and maintain machinery and tools including mowers, tractors, blowers and whipper snippers.
* Assist with set-up and pack-down for College events and functions.
* Ensure safe work practices and equipment care in line with WHS standards.
* Support the overall presentation and safety of the College campus.
What You'll Bring
The successful candidate will bring a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and pride in maintaining high standards of presentation. You'll also have:
* Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, property or building maintenance.
* Sound knowledge of maintenance tools, machinery and safe work practices.
* Reliable, motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping facilities well-presented.
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
* Current Driver's Licence (manual preferred).
* Current or eligibility to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
* First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* A commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.
