Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Paving QC Manager
to oversee quality control for airfield paving projects in Darwin. The ideal candidate will have
8+ years' experience in airfield paving
, with a strong understanding of pavement construction, testing, and compliance with industry standards. This role is critical to ensuring that all airfield works meet technical specifications, safety requirements, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and manage quality control procedures for airfield paving works.
* Conduct inspections and testing of materials, compaction, asphalt, concrete, and other paving elements.
* Monitor compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
* Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions to maintain project quality.
* Maintain detailed documentation and reports for project progress, quality metrics, and compliance records.
* Liaise with project management, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Support audits and certification processes as required by clients or regulatory authorities.
Selection Criteria / Key Requirements:
* Minimum 8 years' experience in
airfield paving quality control
.
* Strong knowledge of asphalt, concrete, and airfield pavement construction standards.
* Experience in
site inspections, testing, and reporting
.
* Ability to lead a QC team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in civil engineering, construction, or QC management are desirable.
* Current NT White Card and ability to work in Darwin-based projects.
