Johnny & Lyle is a busy, well-established breakfast and lunch café known for great coffee, quality food, and a strong team culture. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Front of House Manager to lead our team and keep service running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, hands-on leadership position where you will oversee daily front of house operations and manage a team of approximately 15 staff. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient service flow, and a positive, professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and support a team of 15 front of house staff
* Coordinate daily service to ensure smooth and efficient operations
* Deliver and maintain high standards of customer service
* Train, mentor, and develop team members
* Manage staff rostering and shift coordination
* Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally
* Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
* Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and compliance standards
* Planning menus in consultation with Chefs
* Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
* Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions

* Proven experience in a similar front of house or supervisory role
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Positive, hands-on attitude with a strong work ethic
