About the role
We are seeking a Property Manager to join our team at McGrath Devonport, a leading residential real estate agency in the Devonport area. As Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring optimal tenant and landlord satisfaction. This is a full-time position based in our Devonport, Tasmania office.
What you'll be doing
* Manage a portfolio of residential properties, including single-family homes, apartments, and townhouses
* Coordinate property inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure properties are well-maintained
* Screen and select qualified tenants, negotiate and prepare lease agreements
* Manage the collection of rent payments and address any tenant issues or concerns
* Communicate effectively with landlords, providing regular updates and addressing their needs
* Ensure compliance with all relevant real estate laws and regulations
What we're looking for
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with landlords, tenants, and contractors
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
* Thorough understanding of residential tenancy laws and regulations
* Proficient in using property management software and other relevant technology
* A customer-focused approach and a commitment to providing exceptional service
* A valid real estate license or the ability to obtain one
