About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Ultimo, with occasional travel to client sites across Sydney metro. This is a full‑time role, working 38 hours per week across 5 days.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Administer, configure, and maintain company servers, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity systems.
* Manage Active Directory, group policies, permissions, and user account provisioning.
* Monitor and optimise system performance, ensuring uptime and data integrity across all IT systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for both on‑site and remote users.
* Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange, and cloud environments including Azure AD and Intune.
* Implement system upgrades, security patches, and backups according to company policies.
* Develop and maintain IT documentation, configuration records, and disaster recovery procedures.
* Collaborate with management to ensure system compliance with data protection and ISO security standards.
* Provide level 2/3 technical support to staff and coordinate external vendors where required.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be a reliable, security‑conscious IT professional with attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced service‑oriented business. The candidate should be proactive, technically competent, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar Systems or Network Administrator role.
* Strong working knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
* Hands‑on experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper‑V) and cloud administration.
* Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
* Excellent diagnostic, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
* Vendor certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) are highly regarded.
