Plucks Engineering is a family-owned agricultural engineering business based in Mid Canterbury since 1966. From our SH1 workshop in Rakaia, we design, build, install and service robust farm machinery – particularly heavy water-ballast land rollers and fully-engineered dairy effluent systems. Our equipment is trusted across New Zealand and exported to Australia, Brazil, Chile, the UK, and the UAE.

About the role
Join a tight-knit team building the gear farmers rely on every day. As a Senior Welder/Fabricator, you'll fabricate and assemble new equipment in our Rakaia workshop, with occasional field repairs and maintenance. You'll work across steel fabrication and welding on proven agricultural machinery, including land rollers and dairy effluent systems.
This is a full-time, on-site role in Rakaia. A valid driver's license is required.
You'll bring
* Strong welding and fabrication skills, with the ability to read technical drawings
* Solid experience in steel fabrication and repair (ag. machinery an advantage)
* Full driver's licence (forklift endorsement a plus)
* Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy components
* Flexibility, clear communication and a team-first mindset
