About The Role
The Senior Manager Organisational Development is responsible for working proactively with senior leaders at Barwon Health to create a positive and engaging work environment in which all employees are motivated and enabled to do their best work. The position provides expert advice to the Chief People and Culture Officer with respect to strategy, planning, implementation and evaluation of employee experience initiatives and the People and Culture Strategy to best meet the business objectives of Barwon Health. The position manages the organisational development function which delivers on the People and Culture Strategy with an emphasis on creating a high-performance culture, leadership and capability development, and organisational culture change.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Barwon Health's employee experience strategy, driving a high-performance, values-led culture aligned to organisational priorities.
* Design and deliver evidence-based culture, engagement, wellbeing, and diversity initiatives that strengthen capability and psychological safety.
* Own the leadership development strategy, overseeing programs, coaching partnerships, and development pathways for leaders.
* Provide strategic advice and high-quality reporting to Executive and Board, using data, benchmarking, and sector insights to drive improvement.
* Oversee employee experience frameworks, policies, systems, and partnerships, working collaboratively across People & Culture and the organisation.
What We're Looking For
* Growth-minded with a transparent and collaborative working style.
* Demonstrated experience delivering employee experience initiatives, including engagement, culture change, talent and succession, and leadership development.
* Strong understanding of employee experience frameworks such as team effectiveness, change and project management.
* Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a complex environment; experience in large-scale change, workforce design, coaching, analytics or DEI reporting is desirable.
