Description: An exciting opportunity has become available in our Rockhampton Workshop for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. This role can be full-time or part-time and is ideal for someone looking to make the role their own. Our workshops are central to our network, ensuring the safe operation of our vehicles across Australia.
What you'll be doing?
1. Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks and servicing to ensure fleet compliance.
2. Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, and other systems, including reading error codes.
3. Repairs: Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension systems, replacing faulty parts as needed.
4. Safety Inspections: Conduct safety checks on brakes, lights, and other critical systems to meet safety standards and regulations.
5. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs.
6. Operational Interaction: Communicate with operational leaders and drivers to ensure timely work completion.
7. Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.

Qualifications:
* Valid qualification in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology).
* Experience in heavy diesel repair industry.
* Excellent time management skills.
