Technical Support Coordinator (Water and Sewerage) — permanent full-time role based in Moruya. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the Technical Services Team, oversee management of technical enquiries, and deliver services related to Council’s water and sewer systems. This role involves collaboration with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to provide expert technical guidance that ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused outcomes. The position includes supervision of staff in alignment with Council’s values and safety standards, with support for after-hours activities as required. 
Responsibilities 
- Lead and coordinate the Technical Services Team and oversee management of technical enquiries related to water and sewer systems. 
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to provide expert technical guidance. 
- Ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused outcomes in service delivery. 
- Supervise staff in alignment with Council’s values and safety standards, with support for after-hours activities as required. 
- Provide technical guidance to support day-to-day operational activities and resource coordination to meet safety, quality, and performance expectations. 
Qualifications 
- Proven experience implementing Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements. 
- Strong technical expertise in water and sewer operations. 
- Sound understanding of relevant industry standards and the development application process. 
- Demonstrated track record in successfully leading and managing teams. 
- Strong customer-focused approach with the ability to prioritise and respond to technical enquiries using risk-based criteria, and to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. 
- Technical expertise in responding to development-related enquiries and providing accurate, timely advice. 
- Advanced knowledge in asset management, including contributing to Asset Management Plans, assisting with contract scoping and procurement, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards in the water and sewer industry. 
Salary 
The starting salary is $93,585.69 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
