Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a dedicated Balert Gerrbik Practitioner to support Koori families by providing strong foundations for their children’s early learning and development, as well as evidence-based parenting programs, support services, and supported playgroups for families.This identified position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants and offers an opportunity to contribute to the strength and self-determination of the local Aboriginal community.In this key role, you will:Apply your skills and knowledge in providing parenting education programs to communities throughout the Ovens Murray region of Victoria, in collaboration with the broader education and care sector.Gather, analyse, and disseminate information related to current parenting practices and evidence-based programs.Assist with developing parent education programs for families, including vulnerable and high-needs families.Work with isolated and rural communities, as well as with community-based organisations and providers of family support.Deliver quality services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families that address their needs and exceed their expectations.How to ApplyThis is an Aboriginal designated position, classified under ‘special measures’ of section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
