We are seeking a seasoned Residential Care Professional to lead our children's home in Tamworth.
About the Role:
* To manage daily operations and safeguard the welfare of young people
* To ensure that all young people's needs are being met, recognizing changes in behavior and updating individual risk assessments/care plans as needed
* To provide a safe environment that meets the needs of our young people
* To supervise support workers and identify areas for professional development
* To respond proactively to safeguarding concerns and follow established processes
* To contribute to interviews and safer recruitment checks
* To create and maintain rosters ensuring adequate staffing levels for each young person
* To act as a key career or supporting figure for our young people, building trust and positive relationships
* To develop and implement child-focused care plans and risk assessments
* To support the team and young people during stressful situations
* To foster good working relationships with other professionals
* To adhere to policies, procedures, and risk assessments
* To report any safeguarding or child protection matters to the registered manager
* To ensure accurate incident, accident, or restraint reports are submitted within agreed timescales
* To be aware of health and safety regulations regarding the upkeep of our facilities and surroundings
Requirements:
* 2 years' experience in residential childcare
* OFSTED experience
* Level 5 in Leadership & Management or equivalent
* Full UK driving license
* Clear DBS
