Responsibilities
* Work with Lam Product Group Engineering organizations in development and release of recent weldment design.
* Coordinate and support investigation of key quality defects of components from the customers and/or field service team to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Drive the improvement of the weldment suppliers' quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
* Act as liaison/technical lead for cross-functional projects to include Design review.
* Audit and document supply base performance on critical process records and overall quality management systems.
* Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier business managers.
* Lead, and is personally accountable for, high-profile project timelines and milestones.
* Continuously work on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods.
* Provide technical support in weldment fabrication supplier in deposition and etch product deployment and transition.
* Perform standardized supplier quality audits and administer supplier quality scorecard for existing suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
* Drive root cause and corrective action analysis on NCes and escalations.
Qualifications
* Min +4 years of experience with Weldment/Foreline supplier quality engineering.
* Creative thinking and robust problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including experience in the areas of mechanical and electrical engineering.
* In-depth understanding of welding process and tube weldment/foreline fabrication process.
* In-depth understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes.
* Basic understanding for workmanship standard, especially assembly process.
* Solid understanding of statistical process control.
* Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
* Experience in supplier process development & quality management.
* Understanding of failure analysis and problem solving.
* Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance.
* Ability to travel up to 25% (International & domestic travelling).
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering from accredited University a must.
* Functional understanding of Thermal & Gas-Flow Control systems, Hardware Instrumentation & Controls.
* Systems engineering and integration and semiconductor fab knowledge.
* Solid understanding of various problem-solving methodologies to include 8-D/5 why.
* At least 5 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry.
* Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Attention to details.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
