OverviewPayroll/HR Administration Assistant role at ALDI Stores Australia.
This permanent full-time position is based in Minchinbury and part of the National Payroll team.
You will be the central point of contact for National Payroll and HR Administration activities, supporting payroll delivery for over 1,900 employees and managing employment contracts and policy/compliance matters.About ALDIWith roots dating back to 1913, ALDI is committed to offering top quality products at low prices.

ALDI is positioned as a place with good people, good purpose and great opportunities.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll for over 1,900 employees, including calculations for parental leave, long service leave balances and payments, terminations, redundancies, and manual adjustments.Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing clear and compliant responses in accordance with the National Employment Standards (NES), Fair Work legislation, and ALDI internal policies.Manage the payroll inbox by addressing requests promptly or escalating issues as needed.Prepare employment documentation, including new starter contracts, contract amendments, secondment agreements, employment letters, and flexible work arrangement requests.Assist with ongoing review and maintenance of payroll-related policies, documentation, forms, reporting, and new job descriptions.Contribute to process improvement initiatives and projects within the National Payroll Team to enhance efficiency of payroll operations.What we need from youProven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a large or similarly sized organisation, with solid understanding of the NES, Fair Work legislation, and other payroll/employment regulations.Ability to manage a high volume of payroll and policy-related queries with clear, timely responses.Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong partnerships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Meticulous attention to detail and confidence in preparing and maintaining policy documents and reports.Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and positive contribution to team initiatives.What's in it for you?
