Mechanical Assembler
Our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Wroxham, is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their highly reputable company. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Purpose of the Role
The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the preparation, build, and installation of engineering systems in line with current drawings, specifications, and guidelines.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Building and installing engineering systems on the luxury yachts in build.
2. Supporting and working collaboratively with other trades during yacht build.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering systems including hydraulics, plumbing (domestic, marine, grey, black, fresh water), air conditioning, gas installations, engine/gearbox, and final drive installations.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering 'best practice' techniques.
- Broad understanding of marine engineering installations within yachts or recreational craft.
- Knowledge of construction techniques used in GRP boats.
- Good understanding of current marine engineering technologies.
- Awareness of H + S requirements, guidelines, and best practices.
Skills:
- Ability to build and install engineering systems in recreational craft.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to safely use ladders, work on uneven levels, and in confined spaces.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with hand, power, and bench-mounted tools, including polishers and grinders.
- Experience in metal fabrication, including TIG welding.
Experience:
- Mechanical engineering installations within yacht or recreational craft building industry.
- Experience in a similar role within the past 2 years.
- Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent supporting knowledge, skills, and experience.
