We are now seeking a highly motivated, hands-on and customer focused T**eam Leader **to lead, coach and develop an assigned team of Diesel Technicians. This role is based at our Laverton Service Workshop, working a 7x7 roster.
**Reporting to the Service Supervisor, this role will be responsible for**:
- Supervising the workmanship and performance of the team
- Driving safety awareness and maintaining the established contamination control culture
- Manage the flow of work and resources to ensure quality outputs to meet customer expectations
- Liaising with Service Supervisor on scheduled or job variations in order to keep customers updated on job progress
- Work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator to minimise expense and maximise profitability.
**Required Skills & Experience**:
- Qualified Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician
- Previous supervisory / leadership experience
- Highly developed communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise with customers, peers, co-workers and all levels of management
- Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
