Key Responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day operations of the State Emergency Service.
* Assist with preparedness, response and recovery activities.
* Contribute to a safe, professional and effective emergency response capability.
Key Tasks - Operational Roles
* Storm and cyclone damage operations (e.g. tarping, working at heights, temporary repairs, pumping, sandbagging).
* Land search and rescue support.
* Chainsaw and debris clearance (once trained).
* Transport, logistics and equipment management.
Key Tasks - Support Roles
* Communications and radio operations.
* Administration and records support.
* Public information and social media assistance.
* Recruitment, welfare and general support duties.
