Responsible for assisting in the implementation of theCity’s winter tree planting program for parks, reserves andstreetscapes, you will need to be able to make informed technicaland operational decisions and provide support, leadership andadvice to staff members and apprentices as required.
Works will primarily be comprised of tree planting, staking andtying trees, installation of water wells or mulch bowls, weeding,watering and minor formative pruning.
You will be required to work to daily maintenance schedules andsafely operate of a variety of horticultural equipment.
To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication:
- Certificate III Horticulture or the possession of relevantexperience in a Parks maintenance environment appropriate toposition requirements
- Construction Induction Training (White Card)
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations
- Relevant practical experience in landscape / amenityhorticulture industry
This position offers a weekly wage of $1,488 (gross) whichincorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to afurther 5%
