My Spectrum Services is seeking Allied Health Assistants to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland. These part‑time to full‑time positions are an integral part of our clinical services, providing essential support to our Mental Health Social Workers, Behaviour Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering high‑quality care to our customers.
What you'll be doing
* Assist Allied Health Professionals in implementing treatment plans for customers with a range of needs, including neurodevelopmental, physical, cognitive and psychosocial disabilities
* Provide support and assistance during assessment, treatment and therapy sessions
* Contribute to the development and modification of tailored therapy plans to meet individual customer goals
* Document progress and communicate regularly with the allied health team
* Maintain a safe and organised clinical environment, ensuring equipment and supplies are well‑maintained
* Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
* Possibility of working within the clinic setting, farm sites and within the community to support capacity building goals.
What we're looking for
* Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Allied Health
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or willing to work towards
* Demonstrated experience working as an Allied Health Assistant, preferably within a physiotherapy or occupational therapy setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers of all ages and backgrounds
* Ability to work before and after school hours
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* A keen interest in allied health and a commitment to providing exceptional customer‑centred care
* The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Have or can pass the NDIS Worker Screening and Working With Children checks
* Have or are willing to get First Aid and CPR
