Role and Responsibilities
You'll be part of our Engine Shop, working as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer within Engine and Component Maintenance Services. In this hands-on role, you'll carry out C checks on a range of engines including the CFM56-7, CF6-80E1, and CF6-80C2, as well as applicable Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
* Removing and installing Quick Engine Change (QEC) and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
* Performing full borescope inspections of engines and APUs
* Removing, inspecting, and installing fan blades
* Be part of a specialist crew committed to safety, quality, and reliability – supporting both Qantas Group and customer airlines

Eligibility Criteria / Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics), or the ability to successfully transfer qualifications through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process
* Experience working directly with engines; experience with CF6-80E1, CF6-80C2, and CFM56-7 is advantageous
* Relevant aircraft maintenance trade experience in an engine shop environment
* Extensive aircraft servicing experience across various aircraft types (advantageous)
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures
* Commitment to safe working practices and service standards
* Highly developed attention to detail
* Demonstrated high ethical standards and self-discipline
* Ability to work shift work (day and night shifts)
* Must meet all visa requirements, including English language proficiency as set by the Department of Home Affairs
