Overview
As Head of Group Trade Sales, you will provide end‑to‑end leadership of the Trade Sales function across frame & truss, timber, and building supplies, with full accountability for driving sustainable revenue, margin growth, and customer value.
Responsibilities
* Own and deliver the trade sales strategy across core categories, aligned to broader business objectives.
* Drive revenue growth, margin performance, quote volume and conversion, with clear accountability for results.
* Lead, coach, and develop the trade accounts team, building capability, succession, and a strong performance culture.
* Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key trade customers, acting as a trusted commercial advisor.
* Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Pricing to ensure availability, service excellence, and competitive offers.
* Monitor market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activity, using insights to inform strategy and decision‑making.
* Use data and reporting to identify opportunities, optimise performance, and improve operational effectiveness.
* Ensure governance, pricing accuracy, compliance, and consistent delivery of a high‑quality customer experience.
Qualifications
* Senior sales leader with a proven track record in trade, construction, or building materials, and experience managing complex customer portfolios and leading teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
* Strong commercial acumen, confident using data to influence decisions, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership.
* Proactive, customer‑focused, and skilled at building trusted relationships internally and externally.
* Experience in timber, frame & truss, or building supplies will be highly regarded.
