We are seeking a Part Time Reservationist at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.
A rare and exciting opportunity for a dedicated front office professional join our friendly Front Office team and assist with operating our reservations system.
Key Responsibilities
* Accept, record, and file bookings for every type and from all sources.
* Ensure room listings and costs are correct.
* Keep management informed on the projected occupancy situation and maximise the occupancy result.
Criteria:
* Proven experience in a reservations position in a 4–5-star hotel.
* Proven organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to promote the Complex’s facilities and services to guests.
* Computer-literate and competent in the use of Opera.
* Pro-active and self-motivated with an eye for detail.
* Working knowledge of hotel procedures and policies concerning reservations, room assignments, front office procedures, restaurant and room charges, and credit requirements.
* Well-versed in local history, places of interest, shopping areas etc. to provide to guests.
* Excellent guest relations skills, with the ability to converse with all cultures.
* Competently operate office equipment including fax, photocopier, switchboard, etc.
* Ability to confidently handle or resolve guest complaints while establishing a sincere, tactful approach.
* Ability to function as a team player.
* Willingness to develop and be part of a learning environment.
* Excellent personal presentation.
All Front Office applicants are required to possess a current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol Attainment Certificate.
