THE ROLE IN ACTION
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ROLE WILL BE VARIED, DYNAMIC, AND IMPACTFUL. YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Product & Inventory Management
· Determine appropriate product ranges based on customer demand and seasonal trends
· Maintain optimum stock levels, manage incoming orders, and prevent overstocking or stock outs
· Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices
Sales & Business Growth
· Set and monitor monthly sales targets and budgets to increase foot traffic and build customer loyalty
· Drive customer engagement and revenue through upselling, bundling, and promotional offers
Local Marketing & Community Engagement
· Design and execute local marketing strategies, in-store events, and partnerships to promotes Drouin community
· Implement advertising campaigns via digital platforms, print, signage, and local media
Leadership & Staff Management
· Recruit, train, supervise, and retain a high-performing team to establish a service-oriented store culture
· Conduct performance appraisals, coaching, and continuous professional development
Budgeting & Reporting
· Prepare and manage store budgets to analyse P&L statements
· Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, inventory levels, and staffing costs
Customer Service Excellence
· Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
· Deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensuring all customers are greeted, assisted, and satisfied
· Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
· Train team members on upselling, technical product knowledge, and empathy-based service
Compliance & Workplace Safety
· Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace at all times
· Ensure all policies and procedures are strictly followed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for a motivated, reliable, and experienced leader who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty when needed. Someone who leads by example, believes in team success, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
You will ideally bring:
· A diploma-level qualification in business, retail, or management ("preferred")
· At least 3 year of experience in a similar leadership role within retail, trade, or service sectors.
· Demonstrated experience in budgeting, sales performance, stock management, and team leadership.
· Strong understanding of marketing, local promotions, and brand positioning.
· High emotional intelligence with the ability to handle staff and customer challenges calmly and respectfully.
· Experience in automotive, tyre or battery products is desirable but not essential.
· A proactive mind-set and a strong sense of personal accountability.
